Notes

Although this unit is listed as an Urban District in several Census Reports it also seems to have been a Municipal Borough simultaneously and is noted as such in the footnotes. Table 3 of the 1921 county report for Brecknock and Radnor has a footnote that helps explain "The area now forming the Civil Parishes of Castle Inn and Christ's College was added to the Municipal Borough of Brecknock by the operation of section VIII of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1835 (5 and 6 Wm. IV., chap. 76). This addition is not, however, always recognized in practice."
