Notes

According to the letters page of Essex Life, December 2008, this parish 'was once part of White Roding (or Roothing) and had its church at Cammas Hall ... The farm is just to the north of the A1060, Chelmsford to Bishops Stortford road, and about two miles south of Hatfield Broad Oak. The chapel building was for a long time used as a pigeon-house before being demolished by 1860. An equivalent location is given in the summary of A. Barham's Lost Parish Churches of Essex (2000) given at http://www22.brinkster.com/barham/LostChurches.asp.
