The Cornish borough was generally called 'Mitchell' or 'St. Michael', so is not easily associated with the name 'Midshall' as used by Cheffins, but Samuel Lewis's Topographical Dictionary of England (1848), as reproduced on British History Online, gives 'Midshall' as an alternative name.
