Notes

Youngs confuses this parish with the nearby Monkseaton St Peter and implies a continued existence. However, this parish was associated with a church in Borough Road, North Shields, which was consecrated in 1864, held its last marriage in 1930 and was demolished in 1936 (information provided by Northumberland Archives by e-mail, 19 Dec 2011).
