Notes

Seasalter was a separate jurisdiction from all hundreds (Hasted, E., 'General history: Divisions of the county', The History and Topographical Survey of the County of Kent: Volume 1 (1797), pp. 250-260; http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=53770, accessed 18th March 2013). Hasted later says "this liberty lies adjoining to the parish of Hernehill and hundred of Boughton Blean, north eastward, being so named from its near vicinity to the sea" (Idem., Volume 8, pp.499-504; http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=63521, accessed 13th July 2013.
