nCube definition

Cause of Death as reported by the Registrar General's Quarterly Returns, 1871-1911. These reports used a greatly simplified cause of death classification, mainly focused on epidemic diseases of childhood, with no breakdown by sex or age. The detailed classification changed between 1901 and 1911: in 1911, Cholera was not listed, 'Fever' was replaced by 'Enteric or Typhoid Fever', and 'Diarrhoea' was replaced by 'Diarrhoea and Enteritis', specifically for deaths under 2 years.
