BOUT, a village in Eskdale, Cumberland; 7 miles ENE of Ravenglass. It has an inn, and is in the vicinity of waterfalls and other attractions on the way up Eskdale to the mountain passes into Wastdale-Head, Langdale, and Duddon vale.
