MITERDALE, the vale of the rivulet Mite, in Cumberland. Its upper part is separated from Wastdale by Latterbarrow fell, and from Eskdale by Bleaberry-Taru fell; its central part, immediately below these fells, is crossed by the road from Santon-Bridge to Bout and Ulpha; and the left side of its lower part is separated from Eskdale by Muncaster fell.
