Notes

The 1801 and 1831 censuses list a single hundred, 'Beaminster and Redhone'. However, Youngs' listing of two separate hundeds, 'Beaminster' and 'Beaminster Forum and Redhone', is supported by other sources including the 14th century Poll Tax (see C. Fenwick, The Poll Taxes of 1377, 1379 and 1381, vol. 1 (OUP, 1998)). This unit is one of the two separate pre-census Hundreds.
